UBM Engineering is prepared for any boiler related emergency that our customers may face. We are here to help you in solving those last minute emergencies that may jeopardize your operation. Our Rental Boiler equipment can be Platform mounted, Stand Alone, or full boiler room containers. FAQ about renting boiler room equipment: 1-How will the equipment be delivered? UBM will use various methods of moving equipment. Transportation and Crane can be hired by the customer and the unit can be picked up at our facilities or we can handle a “drop on site” situation. 2-How will the equipment be placed at my facilities? UBM has various mounting options. It can be a stand alone unit or a trailer mounted unit where space and clearance are adequate. 3-Is there a minimum rental period? Yes. Our minimum rental period is 7 days. 4-How much can I use my rental boiler? There is no limit as to the operation of your rental unit. However some down time should be expected to conduct routine and preventive maintenance. 5-Who operates the rental unit? Typically the customer will provide a boiler operator just as their regular operation will require it. UBM can also supply Factory trained operators if needed. 6-What kind of utilities are needed for a rental unit? The customer will make available a Fuel, water, blow down and electrical tie in point to which the equipment will be hooked to. 7-What is involved in the installation? The units are tied in to the existing piping and utilities at the plant. Depending on the distance the temporary runs will be longer or shorter. Each installation is unique and will bear different costs and considerations. 8-Will the units be certified and comply with applicable codes? Yes. All units will be certified and will be piped according to code. Customer is however responsible that the contractor providing the tie in runs complies with applicable codes. 9-When does rental period start and when does it end? Rental period will start upon leaving the UBM warehouse. Rental Period will end on the following day after the customer notifies that the unit is no longer needed. This does not mean that the unit will depart the plant on that day. Since all tie ins must be removed the plant should discuss with the contractor and UBM a date for the unit to leave the plant. 10-Does my rental unit requires any special or additional environmental permits? As long as the unit rented is of the same or lower Hp rating, in most cases no additional permits are required. If a larger unit is installed you should check with your environmental department to obtain additional permits. 11-Does UBM install its rental units? Yes. UBM specializes in turn key rental installations.
